Safeguarding in out of school settings
Our Safeguarding in Out Of School Settings training is designed for anyone who teaches children, whether you do amateur dramatics, acrobatics, judo, Spanish, cooking, BSL, baby yoga, or any of the other brilliant things you do!
We offer public or private training sessions for specific schools, clubs or organisations.
Standard 4 hour safeguarding training which covers awareness of guidance, law and key concepts, along side recognition of signs, symptoms and indicators, recording, reporting and referring procedures and best practice. Resources for your setting can be found in our shop.
Specific training for pieces of work such as making body of persons approval or providing training for backstage staff and chaperones can be requested.

Following on from completing your necessary, important, safeguarding training we also have 'Designated Safeguarding Lead' courses and 'Studio Manager' courses to ensure your whole organisation is safeguarding in the best way possible and that all your dancers have the best experiences possible.
These courses cover safeguarding children and safeguarding adults training and provide up to date, key information and industry specific safeguarding information provided by a dance safeguarding expert with extensive industry knowledge.
Following on from refreshing your safeguarding training why not try our short courses on 'Equality, Diversity and Inclusion' or 'Wellbeing and Resilience' to make sure all your student experiences are the best.
Maybe you could sign some of your student helpers up for a student helper safeguarding course, ideal for those embarking on their teaching careers and considering level 3 qualifications to make sure they prioritise safeguarding from the very start of their teaching journey.
